This name in Arabic means “Eternal Spring”. It can symbolize the Earth, the Moon, the rebirth, even our Sahira embodies all the feminine qualities. She generates and sustains life, like a mother. Mother Earth. We love to imagine her as a woman with a disenchanted expression and fatigued by the weight of the world that she has to support on her head. Then, we have created a character that accompanies and encompasses all our record work, we also wanted to represent it graphically with the beautiful drawings of the artist Marta Cavicchioni. Each song tells the exploits of heroines who have really existed, fairy tales and stories featuring women, between reality and fantasy. From the Mediterranean to Africa, up to India. The Sahira record is our homage to the archetypal female figure, expressed in her heroic and divine form, musically represented by evocative sounds, instruments and musical languages ​​belonging to different cultures, which blend together. Princesses, heroines, amazons, mermaids and pirates guide us on an imaginary journey through sounds that reach different parts of the world from the Mediterranean. A journey that we are pleased to share with you. —————————–ITA————————————- Il disco Sahira rappresenta la sintesi musicale dei nostri percorsi artistici, la musa ispiratrice che ci conduce tra le differenti culture dei popoli. Il suo nome in arabo significa “Primavera eterna”. Può simboleggiare la Terra, la Luna, la rinascita, così come la nostra Sahira, che racchiude in sé tutte le qualità femminili. Genera e sostiene la vita, come una madre. La Madre Terra. Ci piace immaginarla come una donna dall’espressione disincantata e affaticata dal peso del mondo che deve sorreggere sopra la sua testa. Così nasce un personaggio che accompagna e racchiude tutto il nostro lavoro discografico, l’abbiamo voluta rappresentare anche graficamente con i bellissimi disegni dell’artista Marta Cavicchioni. Ogni brano racconta le gesta di eroine realmente esistite, fiabe e storie tutte al femminile, tra realtà e fantasia. Dal Mediterraneo all’Africa, fino all’ India. Il disco Sahira è un nostro omaggio alla figura archetipica femminile, espressa nella sua forma eroica e divina. Rappresentata musicalmente da sonorità evocative, da strumenti e linguaggi musicali appartenenti a differenti culture, che si fondono insieme. Principesse, eroine, amazzoni, sirene e piratesse ci guidano in un percorso immaginario tra sonorità che dal Mediterraneo raggiungono diverse parti del mondo. Un viaggio che abbiamo il piacere di condividere con voi.
